Audio Divina  (Sacred Listening)

9 AM Sunday Mornings in the Sanctuary

Update 8/3/21: Audio Divina service is still currently on hold until we are back to meeting in person.

For many of us, music is often a transcendent experience, lifting us above the worries and distractions of daily life.  You are invited into the sanctuary on Sunday mornings to hear the music as a doorway into prayer and cultivating your ability to listen with the ear of your heart. We call this audio divina, or sacred listening.  The music, carefully selected has the power to deepen contemplative prayer  and meditation.  Audio Divina can enhance the experience of sacred silence, and facilitate a receptivity to Divine encounter. Take a few moments to enter into this self guided listening practice as it offers a quality of silence that can be nourishing for body, mind and spirit.

Following the “CHILDREN’S MOMENT” in worship led by Pastor Joel, the children are led to their classroom with their teacher Roz, as the congregation sings:

May the love of God fill you from your head down to your toes. May it wiggle through your fingers and dance upon your nose.
